Job summary

EMI Services, a TechFlow subsidiary, is seeking a Carpenter for Camp Lejeune. The role covers design, build, remodel and repair across indoor/outdoor facilities, using materials like wood, drywall and paint.

The ideal candidate has hands-on carpentry experience and can work with minimal supervision while complying with safety standards. Salary starts at $29.93/hr with an additional $15.25/hr fringe benefits applied towards insurance and 401k; includes paid time off, holidays, and comprehensive

  • Work independently with MINIMAL SUPERVISION.
  • Assess tasks and determine solutions including cost, time and materials.
  • Operate, maintain, and calibrate hand tools, portable power tools and standard measuring instruments.
  • Respond to routine and emergency calls for repairs and service.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Carpenters on the Camp Lejeune team come from areas of eastern NC including Jacksonville, Richlands, Swansboro and Morehead City. Primary responsibilities of the Carpenter are to design, build, remodel, retrofit, maintain and repair. The Carpenter works in various types of facilities and structures, interior to exterior, floor to ceiling, vinyl siding to soffits and roofs and everything in between such as cabinets, tables, benches, doors and door closures. Materials include wood, drywall, plaster, concrete, brick, ceramic tile and paint. The ideal EMI Carpenter is an experienced handyman who does it all while following all health and safety standards.

Salary

$29.93/ hr. plus $15.25/hr. fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!

Key Responsibilities

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3 + years of experience in the carpentry trades
  • Valid Drivers License compliant with REAL ID Act or willing and able to obtain one
  • Pass a pre-employment drug screening
  • OVERTIME- Available evenings & weekends
  • US citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
  • Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
  • Climbing ladders and entering confined spaces
  • Lifting and adjusting heavy objects, contact with sharp, hot and/or very cold supplies and equipment
  • Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions
