Job summary

Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC in Homewood, AL is seeking a Commercial Carpenter to join our construction team. You will build rough wooden structures, set forms for concrete, and work from sketches or blueprints while adhering to safety protocols.

Candidates should have 3 years of commercial carpentry experience, familiarity with vertical and horizontal forms, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work outdoors in all weather, and provide their own basic tools.

Qualifications

• 3 years Commercial Construction Carpenter experience preferred.
• Experience with vertical and horizontal concrete forms, and gang forms preferred.
• Must be able to work at elevated heights, frequently lift materials weighing up to 50lbs and work in outside all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Build rough wooden structures, such as vertical and horizontal concrete forms, gang forms, blocking, Johnny clamp forms, scaffolds, tunnel, bridge, or sewer supports, billboard signs, and temporary frame shelters, according to sketches, blueprints, or oral instructions.
• Must adhere to safety protocol, and work in a drug-free environment.
• Must be able to provide own tools including, but not limited to, hammer, speed square, tape measure, chalk box, pliers, and tool pouch.
• May be required to work in outside all weather conditions.
