Job summary

Handyman Connection of North Chicagoland is seeking a skilled Carpenter to cut, shape, and install building materials for residential and light commercial projects. You will work with wood, plywood, and wallboard, accurately identifying materials and quantities for each job.

As an independent contractor, you can set a flexible part-time schedule. You will receive support from a professional team, and access to a company app and marketing to attract clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in general building trades is required.
• Valid driver's license and insurance.
• Own tools, vehicle, and references are expected.
• Smartphone and internet access are required.

Responsibilities

• Cut, shape, and install building materials for construction, remodeling or repair in residential and light commercial settings.
• Work with fixtures of wood, plywood and wallboard.
• Determine material quantities for new and existing projects.
• Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot issues, and present a work order description.

Job Summary:

• Cut, shape, install building materials for during the construction, remodeling or repair in a residential and light commercial setting.
• Regularly work with fixtures of wood, plywood and wallboard.
• Determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects.
• Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot customer issues, and present a description of a work order to a customer.
