Job summary

Handyman Connection connects skilled craftsmen with steady work in the North/Northwest Chicagoland area, offering competitive pay and flexible scheduling. You’ll manage jobs, travel to client sites, and perform a range of home repair and remodeling tasks with support from a professional office team.

Earn $30–$45 per hour based on experience; you control your hours and which jobs to take, with dispatching and scheduling assistance from our office team to keep you busy and productive.

Qualifications

• Multi-trade experience across carpentry, drywall, painting, minor plumbing, electrical or general home repairs.
• Dependability and clear communication with clients and team are essential.
• Own a reliable vehicle and tools to complete jobs.
• Smartphone with internet access and ability to use our field app.
• Valid driver’s license is required for service in Chicagoland area.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance or remodeling projects for residents and businesses in North/Northwest Chicagoland.
• Evaluate requests, price out jobs, troubleshoot and communicate with clients.
• Finalize materials and quantities for projects.

What We’re Looking For in a Skilled Handyman

• Multi-trade experience – Proficiency in carpentry, drywall, painting, minor plumbing, electrical work, or general home repairs.
• Dependability & Communication – We take pride in our work and expect our craftsmen to do the same.
• Your Own Work Vehicle – A reliable truck or van that fits your trade(s).
• Your Own Tools – As a professional, you’ll need your own set of tools to get the job done right.
• Smartphone – Must have a smartphone with reliable internet access and be comfortable using our in-field mobile app daily.
• Valid Driver’s License – We take pride in offering our customers trustworthiness and confidence in our brand.
• Availability – Typical work hours are 8 AM – 5 PM, but we offer flexible scheduling based on your needs and those of our customers.

What You'll Do

• Complete maintenance or remodeling project by providing construction skills for residents and businesses in North/Northwest Chicagoland.
• Evaluate requests, price out all jobs, troubleshoot and effectively communicate with clients.
• Finalize appropriate job materials and quantities for all projects.
