Carpenter - Greenland Bends Design | Build
At Greenland Bends Design | Build, we handle both the design and construction of our projects, creating custom spaces that reflect the unique personalities of our clients. From initial concept to final build, we blend innovative design with high-quality craftsmanship, ensuring every detail is thoughtfully executed. As a small residential design-build company, we focus mainly on remodels and take pride in tailoring each project to meet our clients' specific needs, embracing challenges and diverse projects to craft spaces that truly feel like home.
We're seeking a reliable, motivated carpenter with at least 2 years of residential construction experience and a strong desire to continue developing their craft. Creativity, adaptability, and the ability to work well in a team are key. If you enjoy working with your hands and tackling both creative and technical challenges, we'd love to hear from you!
You don’t need to be an expert in every trade, but you should have broad residential construction experience, be comfortable working independently on familiar tasks, and be willing to learn when something is outside your current skill set.
A combination of hands-on construction experience and relevant trade education may be considered.
Experience should include several of the following:
Pay: $26-$34 per hour, based on experience and skill level.
Full-Time Employment with a flexible schedule – You'll be working approximately 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility in scheduling to support work-life balance.
Paid Time Off + 7 Paid Company Holidays – Because everyone deserves a break.
Retirement Plan – SIMPLE IRA with 3% company match to help you save for the future.
Bonus incentives based on performance & Referrals – Hard work and dedication don’t go unnoticed! Additional bonus opportunities for strong performance and employee referrals.
Opportunities for growth – We're a growing company and want our employees to grow with us. As your skills and experience develop, there will be opportunities to take on greater project responsibility and leadership.
Training and hands-on experience – Interested in improving a particular skill? We provide hands-on opportunities to develop your craft and gain broader experience across residential construction and the design-build process.
Diverse and interesting projects – Our work changes from project to project. You may move from a detailed bathroom renovation to an addition, garage, kitchen, apartment renovation, or another custom residential project.
Reliable & hardworking – You show up prepared, follow through, and take pride in doing things well.
Quality-focused – You care about craftsmanship and notice the details that separate acceptable work from excellent work.
Respectful & empathetic – You understand that our job sites are often our clients’ homes and treat their property accordingly.
Independent but team-oriented – You're comfortable taking ownership of your work while communicating and collaborating with the rest of the team.
Creative & adaptable – Remodeling rarely goes exactly as planned. You enjoy solving problems and figuring out practical solutions.
Willing to grow – You're open to feedback, interested in learning new skills, and want to continue improving as a carpenter.
Physically capable – You're comfortable performing physical construction work and regularly lifting and moving materials weighing 50 pounds or more.
Dependable transportation – You must have reliable transportation and be able to arrive on time at job sites throughout Chittenden County.
If you're looking for a role where you can do high-quality work, continue developing your skills, and have a meaningful impact on projects as part of a small team, we'd like to hear from you.
