Job summary

Express Employment Professionals is currently recruiting a Temporary Carpenter to assist a custom home builder on a project in Port Orchard. This short-term role is ideal for someone with residential construction experience, comfortable with railing and cabinetry installation, and able to work with basic measurements and hand tools.

Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, for 3–4 weeks.

Qualifications

• Previous carpentry or residential construction experience required.
• Experience with railing and cabinetry installation preferred.
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and make precise cuts.
• Own tools required and reliable transportation.

JOB DUTIES:

May include but not limited to the following:

• Install railings
• Cabinet and door install and finish work
• Measure, cut, and fit materials accurately
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Follow job site safety requirements and maintain a clean work area
• Work closely with the construction team to complete project goals on schedule

Requirements:

• Previous carpentry or residential construction experience required
• Experience with railing andcabinetry installation ispreferred
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately and make precise cuts
• Own tools required
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to lift, carry, and move construction materials as needed
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Hours/Shift:

Monday-Friday from 7:00am-4:30pm for 3-4weeks

Pay:

$25-$30 / hour DOE
