Job summary

Whitley East LLC is seeking a carpenter to build, install, erect, dismantle, and repair structures using wood and metal across diverse projects. You will read blueprints, measure accurately, and work with tools and materials safely on site.

Responsibilities

• Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks: framing, doors, windows, drywall, trim, flooring.
• Construct, install, repair structures, fixtures, and building frameworks using wood/metal.
• Read a tape measure and cut materials accurately with hand/power tools.
• Interpret blueprints and project plans for accurate execution.
• Safely operate carpentry tools like saws, drills, and nail guns.
• Assist with loading, unloading, transporting materials.
• Use PPE such as safety glasses and gloves.

JOB OVERVIEW

The carpenter is responsible for building, installing, erecting, dismantling, and/or repairing structures, fixtures, cabinetry, and other items using different types of materials including wood and steel.

DUTIES

• Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks, including framing, installing doors, windows, drywall, trim and flooring
• Construct, install, and repair structures, fixtures, and building frameworks using wood, metal and other materials
• Ability to read a tape measure to measure, cut, and shape materials accurately using hand and power tool
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, project plans
• Safely operate carpentry tools including saws, drills, planners, nail guns, levels, and measuring equipment
• Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting materials
• Use required PPE such as, but not limited to, safety glasses and gloves

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous construction carpentry experience of 1+ years
• Vo-Tech or Trade School training preferred but not required
• Knowledge of industrial construction materials
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Able to lift up to 50lbs consistently and bend, kneel, climb frequently
• Valid driver's license may be required depending on project needs
