Job summary

The Wild Animal Sanctuary is seeking a CNC Associate to support the Carnivore Nutrition Center. Primary duties include meal preparation, food handling and sorting, and cleaning, performed under the guidance of the Refuge Director and Animal Care Manager.

This exempt full-time position requires physical fitness, the ability to lift 70+ lbs, outdoor work in extreme heat or cold, and strong teamwork, communication, and judgment. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to lift 70+ lbs.
• Must have a valid Driver's License and own reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation and food handling for carnivores.
• Sorting and organizing meat, produce, and other donated foods.
• Cleaning and sanitation of facilities and equipment.
• Assist with general operations and supervision of volunteers as needed.
• Work under supervision of the Refuge Director and Animal Care Manager.

Salary: Annual- Starting at $567,785.00 Paid Bi-Weekly

Benefits: After 60 Days Medical, Dental, Vision After 30 Days 403 B Offered

Primary Function: Meal Preparation/Food Handling/Sorting and Cleaning

Direct Supervisor: Refuge Director/ Animal Care Manager

With the guidance and under supervision of the Refuge Director and Animal Care Supervisor, the CNC Associate will execute day to day functions regarding diet and nutrition, Meat and Produce sorting, meal preparation, food organization, perform all duties in a safe manner while following company protocol, custodial, sustainability, and long-term equipment care. Perform other related job duties as assigned.

CNC Team members perform functions in the following areas:

• Equipment Maintenance
• Food Handling and Sorting - including raw meat, produce, and other donated food stuffs

• Cleaning of Equipment and Building
