Job summary

The Wild Animal Sanctuary is seeking an Associate for the Carnivore Nutrition Center to support meal preparation, food handling, sorting, and cleaning. Under supervision, you will assist with diet and nutrition tasks, meat/produce sorting, and maintain food organization while following safety protocols.

Ideal candidates are physically fit, able to lift 70+ lbs, and ready to work outdoors in extreme conditions. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.

Status: Exempt Full-Time – Entry -Level

Salary: Annual- Starting at $57,785.00 Paid Bi-Weekly

Primary Function: Meal Preparation/Food Handling/Sorting and Cleaning

Direct Supervisor: Refuge Director/ Animal Care Manager

With the guidance and under supervision of the Refuge Director and Animal Care Supervisor, the CNC Associate will execute day to day functions regarding diet and nutrition, Meat and Produce sorting, meal preparation, food organization, perform all duties in a safe manner while following company protocol, custodial, sustainability, and long-term equipment care. Perform other related job duties as assigned.

CNC Team members perform functions in the following areas:

• Equipment Maintenance
• Food Handling and Sorting - including raw meat, produce, and other donated food stuffs
• Meal Preparation
• General Operations
• Cleaning of Equipment and Building
• VolunteerSupervision
• Sorting of Heavy Food Storage Barrels Requiring Lifting Capability of 70+ lbs
