Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Metallurgical Lab Technician to join our team and support metallurgical studies through sampling, preparation, and analysis. The role emphasizes accurate reporting, safety, and efficient operation of the lab and its equipment.

Responsibilities include maintaining lab instruments, managing samples in LIMS, and contributing to regulatory compliance while supporting optional techniques like XRD, SEM and MLA as needed.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Metallurgical analyses preferred.
• Able to collect samples, process and accurately report on results.
• Working ability in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
• Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
• Strong organizational skills to manage high sample volumes efficiently.
• Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of chemical and laboratory testwork principles.
• Ability to interpret and apply technical information and instructions.

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for a Metallurgical Lab Technician to join our team.

As part of the team, the successful candidate will be a team player adding to our already, diverse, yet rewarding working environment. The ideal candidate will possess a background in process mining and metals.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will safely and efficiently perform:

• Assist in Metallurgical studies by executing sampling plans, preparing, and analyzing samples
• Maintain laboratory and analytical equipment used in the process facility
• Stocking of laboratory supplies
• Assists in reviewing new or enhanced Metallurgical testing equipment or protocols
• Develops and maintains an understanding of applicable programs, practices and existing/proposed local, State and Federal regulations applicable to area of assignment
• Logs samples into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and processes results into spreadsheets.
• Performs other duties as required (XRD, SEM, MLA and optical microscopy possible)
