Job summary

Carl in Lynwood, CA is seeking a General Manager responsible and accountable for all restaurant activities at all times. This role ensures all employees are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations across their job descriptions.

You will lead essential functions, oversee guest service, training, scheduling, budgeting, and compliance with company policies. The General Manager will motivate staff, drive profitability, and participate in meetings.

Qualifications

• Must have 3 years of restaurant operations experience or education (QSR preferred).
• Basic computer knowledge is required.
• Financial/analytical aptitude including planning, budgeting, scheduling and P&L management.
• Excellent planning and time management skills.
• Strong team-building and leadership abilities.
• Investigative and problem-solving skills to drive improvements.
• Bi-lingual skills are a plus.
• Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.

This role ensures all employees (GMT / GMIT, Shift Managers, Shift Leaders, Team Leaders and Crew Persons) are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations in all areas of their job descriptions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Consistently provides a quality product and Guest service experience that delivers total Guest satisfaction
• Continuously improves the skills, knowledge and morale of all employees

• Ensures business and personnel practices are within the law and consistent with Company policies and procedures

• Attends training to remain current on industry trends

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/CORE COMPETENCIES

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must possess 3 years of any combination of experience and/or education that demonstrates a commanding knowledge of restaurant operations (preferably QSR)
• Must have basic knowledge of computers
• Must have financial/analytical aptitude including planning, budgeting, scheduling and P & L management experience
• Must have excellent planning and time management skills
• Must have team building skills
• Must have investigative and problem-solving skills
• Bi-lingual skills are a plus
• Must display strong analytical and organizational skills and have the ability to identify and implement process improvement strategies with positive business results
• Must have strong work ethics and a high level of confidentiality to ensure proper handling of sensitive information
