Job summary

Hearthside Nursing Home in State College, PA is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe environment for residents and staff across the facility.

You will perform daily housekeeping tasks, assist in emergencies, and comply with healthcare regulations while working across the facility. A High school diploma is preferred; lifting up to 30 lbs and regular attendance are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be willing to work harmoniously with staff and residents.
• Must understand and follow environmental services procedures and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the work day.
• Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
• Must perform day-to-day housekeeping duties including dusting, vacuuming, disinfecting, polishing, emptying wastebaskets, cleaning, replenishing and mopping.
• Must lift up to 30 lbs floor to waist; 10 lbs waist to shoulder; lift and carry 30 lbs; push/pull 40 lbs.
• Must practice dependable, regular attendance.
