Job summary

PACS is seeking a dependable Part-Time Laundry Aide to join our healthcare team. You will help ensure residents have clean linens and clothing, and you will follow sanitation procedures in a nursing home setting. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to read instructions, and basic math.

GED or HS diploma is required; 1 year of experience preferred. Shifts include 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM and 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM; on-site work with a team.

Qualifications

GED or high school diploma required.
1 year of housekeeping or laundry experience preferred.
Ability to read and understand directions for laundry procedures.
Basic math skills for inventory and counting.

Responsibilities

Make available a quantity of clean linen for proper care and comfort of all residents.
Maintain all linen in good repair and remove from service any linen with holes and/or stains.
Collect laundry from residents daily or as needed.
Label new resident’s clothing items as needed.
Sorting, treat, wash, dry and fold clothing and linens.
Deliver clean laundry items to resident rooms.
Follows all sanitary processes and procedures related to laundry duties.
Maintain inventory of laundry supplies.
Use all laundry equipment and supplies in a safe manner.
Report laundry equipment issues to the Administrator.
