Job summary

BrightStar Care - Anchorage is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Western Suburbs IL region. Shifts are available full-time & part-time with immediate start. RN oversight provided; opportunities for career growth and ongoing education.

Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, vital signs, transfer support, and companionship, with training provided for specialized equipment and patient needs.

Qualifications

• Completion of a state-approved Nursing Assistant program.
• Active CNA certification in good standing (Illinois).
• CPR certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience (home care or facility).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care as directed by the nursing supervisor and the client’s care plan.
• Assist with personal care needs such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Take and record vital signs accurately.
• Support mobility and transfers using transfer equipment (Hoyer Lift, Gait Belt, Sit-to-Stand).
• Provide specialized care for clients with G-tubes, tracheostomies, and ventilators (training or experience required).
• Assist with feeding, meal prep, and light housekeeping.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Transport clients to appointments and community activities, when needed.
