Job summary

Bolingreen Health & Rehab is seeking a Kitchen Aide to assist cooks with meal preparation and tray service for patients. You will help with desserts, beverages and nourishing meals, while maintaining clean dining and kitchen areas. Strong communication and a team approach are essential for daily operations.

The role includes following diet orders and infection-control procedures, with opportunities to contribute to a supportive, mission-driven care environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook in preparing desserts or snacks for patients.
• Assists cook in preparation of meals.
• Carries trays to patients on halls.
• Cleans tables in the dining area after each meal.
• Helps with salads and desserts and other dishes.
• Records temperatures for storage areas per procedures.
• Promotes infection control in the work area.
• Operates dish machine and cleans kitchen equipment.
• Follows diet orders and records substitutions.
