Job summary

Vitality is seeking an energetic dining room server to support a vibrant community meals program. You will help deliver a warm, enjoyable dining experience for residents and visitors, including greeting guests and assisting in meal service.

Responsibilities include recording meals, maintaining dining room cleanliness, following food safety guidelines, and supporting daily operations under supervision of the Culinary Services Director.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to demonstrate adherence to proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
• Knowledge of customer service principles and meeting quality standards.
• Awareness of team dynamics, inventory, safety and cleanliness.
• Excellent listening and verbal/written communication skills.
• Understanding of food safety procedures and storage techniques.
• Desire to work with older adults and their families.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents, visitors and team members courteously.
• Serve meals and ensure resident satisfaction.
• Record guest meals and report to supervisor.
• Assist with daily dining room operations and cleaning.
• Ensure dining room is prepared for next service.
• Follow infection control policies and safety procedures.
• Attend onboarding and training sessions as requested.
