Job summary

The State of Colorado is seeking a Dining Services II at the Colorado State Veterans Center at Homelake to support cooks and prepare meals for residents in both the Domiciliary and Nursing Home. You will help maintain a safe, sanitary kitchen and dining areas and assist with meal delivery when needed.

Shifts are listed as 5:00 am–1:30 pm on Sunday–Tuesday and 10:00 am–6:30 pm on Wednesday–Thursday; flexibility may be required. A minimum of one year of related experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• One year of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position.
• Experience working in long-term care or with the elderly is preferred.
• Experience preparing meal trays and serving meals.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals and assist cooks with meal preparation to meet residents' needs.
• Maintain a safe and sanitary kitchen, dining room, and storage areas.
• Stock refrigerators and pantries; check for outdated products and replace as needed.
• Deliver meal trays when meals cannot be served in the dining room.
• Attend mandatory trainings and complete required competencies.
• Perform cleaning duties and assist in setting up dining areas.
