Apploi in Bloomingdale, IL is seeking a dietary aide to prepare and serve meals for a 16-person Intermediate Care Facility, following federal, state, and local standards and facility policies.

You will supervise food production and presentation, assist in menu extensions, and ensure meals are served on time, accurately portioned, and prepared from planned menus.

No relocation, full-time day shifts; benefits include health and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of dietary procedures.
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must read, write, and speak English clearly.

Responsibilities

• Complies with departmental policy and regulations.
• Review menu extensions before food preparation.
• Prepare meals according to planned menus, including therapeutic meals.
• Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing.
• Ensure correct resident meal trays and proper portion control.
• Maintain proper food handling, dating, labeling, and storage.
• Assist in receiving and stocking food and supplies.
• Attend staff meetings and assist in dietary supervision when needed.
