Wakefield Care and Rehab in Wakefield, KS is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to join our team for full-time and part-time roles. You will assist in preparing and serving meals to residents, ensuring meals meet dietary guidelines and menu specifications.

You will help with setting up trays, delivering meals, cleaning and sanitizing areas, and supporting a high level of resident care with teamwork and respect. No previous experience required; willingness to learn and a positive attitude are valued.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to perform basic arithmetic, understand measurements and follow written and oral instructions.
• No experience required. A willingness to learn is needed.
• Solid communication skills, attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate resident needs.
• Ability to read, write and speak English sufficient to perform job duties and to interact and communicate with residents, vendors and team members.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals to residents according to diet orders and approved menus.
• Set up trays and serve regular meals, snacks and special requests.
• Deliver and retrieve trays, wash dishes and maintain clean dining areas.
• Ensure food safety, proper temperatures and adherence to dietary guidelines.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and assist with general kitchen and dining room duties.
