Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility.

You will assist with food prep, serve meals per dietary specs, and maintain clean kitchen areas while following safety guidelines and delivering friendly resident service. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred ServSafe/food handler certification where required by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Food service/kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with staff and residents.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies compliance.
• Lift up to 30 lb, push/pull up to 50 lb, stand/sit/bend for extended periods.
• Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks.
• Work safely around food and cleaning products.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification may be required by state law.
• Residence within service area required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
