Job summary

Salinas Valley Post Acute is seeking a dedicated Full-Time Dietary Aide to join our culinary team. You will prepare and serve nutritious meals to residents while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment in a caring, elder-centered setting.

This role offers a stable, repeating schedule with hourly pay and varied shifts (AM/PM). Training and opportunities for growth are available within the facility as part of our commitment to quality resident care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Healthcare or food service experience a plus.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing food items following dietary menus.
• Set up dining rooms, tray lines, and resident meal carts.
• Serve meals to residents politely and efficiently.
• Clean kitchen equipment, wash dishes, and sanitize work areas.
• Deliver snacks and beverages to nursing stations.
• Dispose of dietary waste according to facility procedures.
• Store food and supplies properly to maintain freshness and safety.
