Job summary

Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights, IL is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide to assist patients with menu selections and deliver meals promptly.

You will prepare items, ensure diet orders are met, and deliver excellent service while adhering to health and safety policies. The role offers full-time and part-time hours with an hourly wage of $15.40. Training and opportunities for growth are available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must practice good personal hygiene and be neatly groomed in a uniform.
• Preferred: culinary experience in a kitchen or healthcare setting.
• Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure each patient receives an accurate meal that matches their order and diet requirements.
• Deliver and collect patient menus in a timely manner.
• Prepare cold/hot items and condiments for meal times.
• Adhere to the facility’s health and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently.
