Job summary

Jobvite, Inc. is seeking a friendly Cook to support our senior living dining program. You will roam the dining room and kitchen, assist the Culinary Director, help ensure dishes are prepared, served, and cleaned up, and engage residents with a welcoming demeanor.

You will prep, talk to residents about the menu, and assist in maintaining a clean, safe kitchen and dining area during busy meal service.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or with customers helpful, but training provided.
• Be adaptable to changing roles on the fly.
• Stay positive, especially when it's busy, to keep things happy.
• Be patient and understanding with residents' requests or concerns.
• Notice when things need to be clean, helping keep dining area tidy and safe.

Responsibilities

• Prep food as needed per the Culinary Director.
• Talk to residents in a friendly way, share the daily menu, and make sure they're happy.
• Serve dishes to our residents in a kind manner.
• Assist in cleaning pots, pans, and keeping the kitchen area spick and span.
• Keep the kitchen and dining room clean and follow rules to keep the food safe.
• Assist Chef with cooking at meal service.
