Job summary

Hearthstone Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Medford, OR is seeking a dedicated Cook to join our dietary team. Under the Dietary Services Manager, you will prepare meals that meet resident diet specifications, menus, and sanitary regulations in a warm, resident-focused environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a current Food Handler’s Permit and/or ServSafe certification, and strong teamwork and communication skills. We offer competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Food Handler’s Permit and/or ServSafe certification required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals according to planned menus, diet plans, and facility policies.
• Ensure trays meet menu and diet specifications for accuracy and presentation.
• Maintain proper food storage and inventory practices.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, equipment, utensils, and floors.
• Follow all food safety, infection control, and sanitation procedures.
• Work in a kitchen with varying temperatures and equipment.
• Assist with receiving, inventorying, and storing incoming food and supplies.
• Report hazardous conditions or incidents promptly.
