Job summary

Alliance Ground International is hiring a Cargo Warehouse Agent in Detroit. The role involves handling cargo and US Mail, operating forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensuring accurate airway bill entry and security screening.

Flexibility with shifts, ability to travel for up to 3 weeks of paid training, and the ability to obtain an airport badge and security clearance are required. Candidates must be 18+ with a HS diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Remove Foreign Object Debris (FOD) from cargo warehouse area.
• Be on time, prepared, and safety-conscious; work in all weather conditions.

Roles and responsibilities:

• Sort, load/unload, and transport cargo and US Mail; operate a forklift and pallet jack as required
• Ensure airway bill data is entered accurately and perform security screening of cargo prior to transport
• Remove Foreign Object Debris (FOD) from in and around the cargo warehouse
• Be on time, be prepared, and be safe

Physical Qualifications:

• Be able to travel to complete up to 3 weeks of paid Airline Cargo Warehouse training - Transportation, meals, and accommodations will be provided
• Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent
• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Be able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes an extensive 10-year employment, criminal record, and residence background check
• As an AGI Cargo Warehouse Agent you must be able to:
  • Lift up to 50 pounds (23 kg) unassisted
  • Bend, kneel, and stoop on a frequent basis
  • Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises.
