Job summary

Alliance Ground International in Detroit, MI is hiring a Cargo Warehouse Agent to support fast-paced aviation operations. You will sort, load/unload, and transport cargo and US Mail, while operating a forklift and pallet jack as needed and ensuring airway bill data accuracy and cargo security checks.

The role requires training, background checks, and the ability to obtain an airport badge and clearance. Roles may include night/weekend shifts with a strong commitment to safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent.
• Must be able to obtain an airport badge and a customs clearance.
• Be able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes a 10-year background check.
• Be able to travel to complete up to 3 weeks of paid Airline Cargo Warehouse training; transportation, meals, and accommodations provided.

Responsibilities

• Sort, load/unload, and transport cargo and US Mail; operate a forklift and pallet jack as required.
• Ensure airway bill data is entered accurately and perform security screening of cargo prior to transport.
• Remove Foreign Object Debris (FOD) from in and around the cargo warehouse.
• Be on time, be prepared, and be safe.

Physical Qualifications:

• Be able to travel to complete up to 3 weeks of paid Airline Cargo Warehouse training - Transportation, meals, and accommodations will be provided
• Be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma, GED, or work experience equivalent
• Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Be able to pass a drug screen and obtain airport security clearance, which includes an extensive 10-year employment, criminal record, and residence background check

As an AGI Cargo Warehouse Agent you must be able to:

• Lift up to 50 pounds (23 kg) unassisted
• Bend, kneel, and stoop on a frequent basis
• Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises.
