Job summary

Kalitta Air LLC, based in Michigan, is seeking a qualified Cargo Services Auditor/LM to join the Cargo Services department. The role reports to the Manager of Cargo Services and performs audits of flight operations, station operations, cargo handling, and regulatory compliance.

Candidates must have at least 10 years in aviation, five years as an auditor, be a current Loadmaster, keep all Kalitta Air aircraft trainings current, and hold Dangerous Goods and Ground Security certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of aviation experience.
• At least 5 years as an auditor.
• Current Loadmaster status for Kalitta Air aircraft training.
• Certified in Dangerous Goods and Ground Security.

Responsibilities

• Audits and evaluations of flight operations, station operations, cargo handling and OSHA/EPA functions.
• Reviews audit results with the Chief Loadmaster and Cargo Service Manager and prepares reports.
• Review the development and implementation of corrective actions plans with managers and supervisors.
• Maintain and update Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) files and assist in assembling reports.
• Assist the Chief Loadmaster and Cargo Service Manager in the ongoing development of the IEP.
• Assist with Loadmaster functions during PEAK or other busy schedules if required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Prerequisites:

The Cargo Services Auditor must have at least 10 years of experience in aviation and at least five years as an auditor. They must be a current Loadmaster and be current on all Kalitta Air aircraft training, and in Dangerous Goods and Ground Security.

Essential Duties and Responsibility:

1. The Cargo Services Auditor reports to the Manager of Cargo Services and performs all the specific job duties of the Loadmaster/Station Representative. Additional essential functions and responsibilities include:
2. Conducts audits and evaluations of (but are not limited to) flight operations, station operations, cargo handling and OSHA/EPA functions.
3. Reviews audit results with the Chief Loadmaster and Cargo Service Manager and prepare reports.
4. Review the development and implementation of corrective actions plans with managers and supervisors
5. Maintain and update Internal Evaluation Program (IEP) files and assist in assembling reports.
6. Assists the Chief Loadmaster and Cargo Service Manager in the continuous development of the IEP.
7. Assists with Loadmaster functions during PEAK or other busy schedules if required.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS & REQUIRMENTS:

1. All shifts on a rotating basis. Auditors/Loadmaster’s work in all weather conditions including extreme heat and cold, as well as rain, and snow.

1. Ability to push, pull and lift 50 lbs. on a repeated basis.

1. Ability to pass a 10-year criminal background check as well as a DoD background check.

1. Ability to obtain a US passport and travel as needed to delegated assignments.

1. Ability to maintain a flexible schedule.

1. Must have a valid driver’s license.
