Cargo Screener – LAX Pacific Aviation – Los Angeles, CA, US
Overview
Pacific Aviation will provide qualified personnel to oversee and monitor ramp operations for each flight, ensuring full compliance with operational, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Scope of Work
- 4 hours per flight coverage
- 1 hour: Pre‑arrival reporting and check‑in at CHINA CARGO Office
- 30 minutes: Ramp preparation and inspection
- 2.5 hours: Active ramp monitoring and operations oversight – review flight details, load plans, operational requirements; coordinate with stakeholders; inspect equipment readiness and serviceability; verify ramp checklist; inspect ULDs for airworthiness compliance
Monitoring Activities

- Loading and unloading operations
- Cargo handling processes
- Fuel truck movement (entry and exit)
- Aircraft pushback
Time Monitoring & Reporting
- Landing time
- Block‑in time
- Start of unloading
- Start of loading
- Completion of loading
Safety & Quality Assurance
- Monitor safe execution of loading/unloading
- Ensure compliance with Aerocharter safety standards
- Verify proper use of equipment and procedures
- Oversee marshalling activities
- Ensure adherence to loading instructions
Documentation & Reporting
- Complete Ramp Checklist
- Prepare and submit Flight Report
- Match actual loading against load plan
- Document irregularities or incidents
Visual Documentation
- Capture photos of key operational stages: loading/unloading process, ULD condition, safety compliance activities, completed Ramp Checklist, detailed Flight Report, time‑stamped operational logs, photo documentation of operations, incident/irregularity reports (if applicable)
Administrative Responsibilities
- Adhere to all Company and client airline policies and procedures
- Follow FAA/Airline/Company regulations and guidelines
- Communicate in English, both verbal and written
- Keep supervisor informed of all needs and problems; report maintenance needs
- Use appropriate communication channels; maintain records, reports and files as required
- Pay attention to detail in documentation
- Organize and prioritize work; ensure pressing tasks are completed
- Maintain flexibility with shift schedule; adjust to operational needs
- Attend meetings as required

Requirements
- Flexible with shifts; early morning, afternoon, or evening; 24‑36 hour advance notice
- Available 5–6 days per week, including weekends and holidays
- Fluent in English, verbal and written
- Valid California driver’s license in good standing for company vehicle
- Able to work in warm and cold weather, outdoors on tarmac
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
