Cargo Screening Security Officer

Summary: Screen cargo in compliance with TSA guidelines. Demonstrate and abide by Andy Frain Services core values and operating principles, while maintaining 100% compliance with all cargo screening training. Observe and report activities and incidents to ensure the security and safety of client property and personnel. Security guards/officers must possess and maintain a professional image and demonstrate strong leadership skills.

Responsibilities/Duties: Essential functions may vary depending on department size, organizational structure, and geographic location. Reasonable accommodations may be made for differently-abled individuals to perform essential functions. Other duties not listed may also be assigned.

• Provide quality service and positive interaction with customers, greeting visitors, vendors, and employees while maintaining standards of excellence in presentation and professionalism.
• Screen cargo following TSA guidelines, including physical inspection, X-ray, and other electronic equipment.
• Guard and patrol physical property, monitor system responses, oversee personnel in high-risk areas, and investigate accidents and criminal acts.
• Prepare reports for the Security Supervisor and/or Director of Security, highlighting areas of concern in weekly and daily reports.
• Maintain knowledge of emergency policies, procedures, and regulations; respond promptly to alarms or calls for help, determine actions, notify authorities, and assist as needed.
• Develop and recommend safety and loss prevention procedures based on incident reports and other relevant information.
• Proactively obtain information regarding post orders, revisions, and daily event needs (e.g., parking lists, access changes).
• Implement security and safety improvements to protect assets, visitors, tenants, and employees.
• Enforce operational and personnel policies to ensure smooth operations.
