Job summary

Alliance Ground International in Atlanta, GA seeks Ramp Supervisors to lead flights and oversee ramp operations, ensuring on-time departures and secure handling of passengers and cargo. You will supervise shift teams, mentor staff, and coordinate ground movements at the gate.

The role requires operating ground support equipment, maintaining safety procedures, and adhering to security and attendance policies. Flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays, are expected.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year ramp services experience.
  • Must have a GED, HS diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification/licenses (if applicable).
  • Airport Badge/Security Clearance (if applicable).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise agents and leads on each shift to ensure procedures are followed safely and efficiently.
  • Mentor and coach staff and conduct on-the-job training.
  • Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate.
  • Transport, load and unload passenger baggage, cargo, and mail.
  • Clean aircraft cabins between flights and stock supplies.
  • Operate heavy equipment to move luggage and cargo, tow planes, and service aircraft."

Job Description

Ramp Supervisors are responsible for leading flights for the smooth and safe operation of airport ground handling services, ensuring that flights depart and arrive on schedule, and that passengers and cargo are handled efficiently and securely.

Essential Job Duties
  • Supervise agents and leads on each shift to ensure all proper procedures are followed in a safe, efficient manner.
  • Mentor and coach agents and leads and conduct on-the-job training.
  • Guide inbound/outbound airplanes to and from the gate.
  • Transport, load and unload passenger baggage, cargo, and mail.
  • Clean aircraft passenger cabins between flights and stock aircraft with needed supplies.
  • Operate heavy equipment to move luggage and cargo, tow planes between gates, and refill water tanks and lavatories.
  • Be on time, be prepared, and be safe.
Additional Job Responsibilities
  • Assist with creating and managing the staffing schedule to ensure adequate coverage for each flight.
  • Other duties as assigned: Be flexible and willing to perform any other tasks or responsibilities as required by the company to meet operational needs.
Qualifications

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds (23 kg) on a regular basis.
  • Carry heavy items up and down jetway stairs.
  • Climb, bend, kneel, crawl and stoop on a frequent basis and for extended periods.
  • Work outside in all types of weather, around jet and machinery noises
Schedule

Alliance Ground International operates twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. AGI requires its employees to be able to work flexible schedules which may be adjusted to meet operational demands such as flight delays or cancellations. Applicants must be able to work on weekends, (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) and holidays. Strict adherence to company attendance policies is expected and enforced.
