Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a Cargo Office Supervisor in San Francisco to direct and coordinate the work of Cargo Office and Warehouse staff, ensuring efficient office operations and regulatory compliance.

You will manage staffing, conduct performance evaluations, and maintain safety and security procedures in line with FAA, DOT, TSA, CBP expectations; associated duties include documentation, interviewing support, and collaboration with the General Manager.

Qualifications

• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
• One year college certificate or technical school, six months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to pass a ten-year background check as required by US Customs.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and a drug test.
• Must pass an FBI background check and obtain a custom seal.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the activities of departmental non-exempt employees (Cargo Office and Warehouse Agents and warehouse leads).
• Keep staffing scheduled for Office Staff and ensure proper staffing levels.
• Maintain compliance with airline guidelines, FAA, DOT and other regulatory agencies through proper documentation by staff.

Role Purpose

As Menzies Aviation Cargo Office Supervisor, you will be responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of departmental non-exempt employees such as, Cargo Office and Warehouse Agents and warehouse leads.

What you will be doing:

• Ensures proper staffing is scheduled for Office Staff.
• Perform general office duties inclusive of, but not limited to filing, answering telephone(s), mail distribution and composing correspondence.
• Involved in the interviewing process, conduct performance evaluations, issue disciplinary actions and work with General Manager on final decisions in these areas.
• Keep track of attendance records, monitor lateness/absence/manual miss punches, etc.
• Ensures proper documentation is prepared by staff to maintain compliance with the airline guidelines, FAA, DOT and other regulatory agencies.
• Interact with authorities, TSA, CBP, Agriculture agents.

• One year college certificate or technical school, six months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to pass a ten-year background check as required by US Customs.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 70 pounds.
• Must pass pre-employment physical and a drug test
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English proficiently.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving records
• Must pass an FBI background check and obtain a custom seal.
