Swissport is hiring a Cargo Office Agent in Chicago, IL to assist the Cargo Supervisor with daily cargo operations, including verification of import/export records and adherence to safety and quality standards.

The position offers a full-time schedule with health and 401(k) benefits, paid time off, and company holidays. Overnight shifts run from 10pm to 6am.

Qualifications

• Proficient in general office procedures.

Job Summary

Cargo Office Agent assists Cargo Supervisor with daily operations. They verify and keep records on import and export cargo as well as maintain applicable safety and quality standards.

The expected pay rate is $19.75/hr. Full-time employees are offered a range of health and wellness benefits as well as 401(k) with company match paid vacation time, sick time, and company paid holidays.

Your activities

• Prepare airline and customs documentation
• Comply with company’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies
• Ensure paperwork is prepared timely and accurately
• Make sure paperwork related to the cargo is correct before release
• Assure proper compliance with local and international laws and regulations
• Follow Dangerous Goods Requirements and Regulations
• Comply with other general office duties as assigned
• Work overnight from 10p-6a
