Job summary

Hub Group is seeking a Cargo Handler in Bolingbrook, IL to load and unload freight, accurately stage and audit next-day routes, and perform routine warehouse duties. This role requires forklift certification, RF scanner and data entry experience, and a strong focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; higher education a plus.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without calculator.
• Strong written and communication skills with customer service focus.
• Previous experience with RF scanners and computer data entry systems for tracking inventory preferred.
• Ability to work, follow directions and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to verify freight documentation and quality, label boxes and prepare freight for shipment.
• Must stage and audit next day routes and move freight within the warehouse.
• Must check-in and unload appliances from carrier deliveries.
• Maintain a positive, professional and safe work environment.
• Schedule flexibility including weekends, overtime and acting as backup for Admin as needed.
• 1-2 years warehouse experience.
• Forklift operation certification required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers safely and timely.
• Accurately stage and audit next-day routes.
• Move freight within the warehouse as required.
• Check-in and unload appliances from carriers.
