Job summary

Hub Group in West Sacramento, CA is seeking a part-time Cargo Handler responsible for loading and unloading freight on trailers in a safe, timely manner. This role uses handheld scanners and requires frequent lifting and moving of freight.

We offer a benefits package including medical, vision, FSA, EAP, life and disability insurance, PTO and paid holidays. Shift is Monday through Friday from 4am to 8am, pay is $20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift, push and pull freight safely.
• Ability to work in a part-time shift.
• Prior warehouse experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trucks and trailers.
• Safely load and unload using approved equipment.
• Use handheld scanners to track freight across the network.
• Accurately stage and audit next day routes.
• Label boxes and prepare freight for shipment as required.
• Verify documentation and condition of freight to meet quality standards.
• Check-in and unload freight.
• Recoup/restore damaged freight as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform other assigned warehouse duties.
