Job summary

Menzies Aviation is seeking a Warehouse Associate to receive, store, and distribute freight at our U.S. locations. You will read airway bills, move cargo with a forklift, and sort items by destination to support efficient operations.

The role requires basic English, ability to lift up to 70 lbs, and flexibility for variable shifts. Prior forklift experience and safety compliance are valued in a team-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Reads airway bills, bills of lading, or freight manifest to determine items moved.
• Conveys freight from receiving areas to storage or designated areas with forklift.
• Sorts materials by destination and stores in racks or bins.
• Handles dangerous goods in the proper area and follows safety policy.
• Fills requisitions and distributes items to other locations.
• Opens containers for breakdown and records counts for inventory.
• Performs cargo build-up and breakdowns using pallets or ULDs.
• Maintains clean, hazard-free work areas and follows security procedures.
• Willing to work weekends/holidays and maintain all required badges/seals.

Role Purpose

Receives, stores and distributes freight within established guidelines by performing the following duties.

What you will be doing

• Reads Airway bills, bills of landing, or freight manifest to determine the items to be moved, gathered or distributed.
• Conveys freight from receiving areas to storage or to other designated areas with forklift or transporter.
• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as consignee or destination.
• Sorts and stores all dangerous goods in proper area
• Fill requisitions, work orders or requests for materials, tools or other stock items and distribute items to other locations.
• Open bales, crates, and other containers for breakdown. Records count of items received or distributed. Weighs and counts items for distribution within the warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards and air waybill.
• Performs cargo build-up and/or breakdowns, freight to and/or from skid, pallets or ULDs.
• Ensures that work areas are clean and hazard free of loose nets, straps, etc.
• Must practice all Company's Safety Policy inclusive of, but not limited to wearing PPE, equipment operation, safe lifting procedures or obeying speed limits when driving company vehicles and equipment.
• Must follow all Security procedures as required.
• Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

• Must be at least 18 years of age. Must pass Drug testing.
• Must have High School diploma or GED.
• Must have a current driver license with no violations over the past 5 years.
• Forklift certificate preferred, but not necessary.
• Must be able to speak, read and write in English proficiently.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays. Previous customer service experience preferred
• Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing including drug testing
• Must be able to obtain and maintain all required Airport and Custom badges/seals.
