Job summary

Final Mile in Missouri is seeking a Cargo Handler responsible for loading and unloading freight on trailers in a safe, timely manner. The role requires frequent lifting and the use of approved equipment to move goods.

You will scan freight with handheld devices, stage and audit next-day routes, label and prepare shipments, verify documentation, and maintain a clean, safe warehouse. Schedule is Monday through Saturday, with Thursdays and Sundays off, shift 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, pay $16.42 per hour.

Qualifications

• Able to lift and move freight repeatedly in a warehouse setting.
• Safely handle freight with approved equipment and follow safety protocols.
• Reliable team member with good communication and punctuality.
• Willingness to work the stated schedule, including Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trucks and trailers.
• Safely move freight using approved equipment.
• Use handheld scanners to track freight across the network.
• Accurately stage and audit next-day routes.
• Label boxes and prepare freight for shipment as required.
• Verify documentation and condition of freight to ensure quality standards.
• Check-in and unload freight; maintain a clean, safe work environment.

The Cargo Handler is responsible for loading and unloading freight on trailers in a safe and timely manner. Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing and carrying of freight is required. Must accurately stage and audit next day routes, perform other warehouse duties as assigned.

Schedule: Monday-Saturday (Off Thursday and Sunday)

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay: $16.42/hr

Primary Duties:

• Responsible for loading and unloading freight on trucks and trailers
• Safely load and unload trailers and trucks by utilizing appropriate approved equipment
• Use handheld scanners to efficiently track freight throughout our network
• Accurately stage and audit next day routes
• Correctly label boxes and prepare freight for shipment as required
• Verify documentation and condition of freight to assure quality standards are met
• Accurately check-in and unload freight
• Recoup/restore damaged freight when necessaryMaintain a clean and safe work environment
• Ensure warehouse duties are being done as directed (cardboard, styrofoam, demanufacture etc)
• Ability to work well without direct supervision, maintain a positive, professional demeanor
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned
