Job summary

Footprints Federation is seeking a part-time Caretaker/Site Supervisor for Ingrow Primary School in Keighley. The role covers safety, security and maintenance of the building and grounds, with a willingness to work occasional weekends or evenings as required.

The successful candidate will hold responsibilities as a key holder and be part of a friendly school team, with full training provided and DBS checks undertaken. Closing date is 12 Noon, 18 September 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in premises management in an educational environment.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures including IOSH and COSHH (training provided).
• Willingness to be a key holder and manage opening/closing of the school.

Responsibilities

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Caretaker/Site Supervisor to join our committed and friendly team of staff based at Ingrow Primary School.

Vacancy Information

The successful candidate will work under the direction of their Line Manager using their own initiative and will be responsible for the safety and security of the building and grounds, cleanliness, heating, lighting, general maintenance around the school and ensuring Health & Safety compliance on site.

Previous experience of premises management in an educational environment, along with Health & Safety knowledge would be advantageous. The candidate will be expected to carry out all the responsibilities of a key holder - opening and locking the school and emergency call outs.

The successful candidate will:

• Supervise the site, buildings and grounds and maintaining a clean, safe, and purposeful environment.
• Take responsibility for security and Health and Safety.
• Have a good knowledge of Health and Safety procedures, including IOSH, and COSHH (training will be given to the successful candidate).
• Undertake a range of minor repairs, maintenance and decorating.
• Be a positive, hardworking and friendly team player.
• Be flexible and able to work occasional weekend or evenings if required.
• Undertake some grounds maintenance.
