Job summary

SM Motorenteile GmbH, a family-owned company supplying engine parts to customers in over 100 countries, seeks a reliable caretaker (m/f/d) to ensure our buildings, facilities and day-to-day processes run smoothly. You will contribute hands-on maintenance, safety checks and support across warehouses and offices.

You bring practical technical experience, a Class B license, and a meticulous, independent approach.

Qualifications

• Manual dexterity and practical experience in a technical or skilled trades field.
• Class B driver's license; forklift certification preferred.
• Independent, meticulous, and responsible approach to work.
• Reliability, flexibility, and a passion for varied, all-around tasks.
• Ability to work well with others, good manners, and a good command of German.

Responsibilities

• Technical support and maintenance of indoor and outdoor facilities, as well as office and warehouse areas
• Seasonal tasks such as mowing the lawn, trimming hedges, watering flowers, raking leaves, shoveling snow, and spreading salt
• Restocking and monitoring of supplies in warehouses and office buildings, such as cleaning supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, and water dispensers
• Cleaning the warehouse floor using appropriate machinery
• Minor plumbing and electrical repairs, replacement of light bulbs, and various painting jobs
• Inspection of heating systems; management of the wood storage area, including the wood chipper, and maintenance work
• Coordination and supervision of outside contractors specializing in electrical, heating, and plumbing work, as needed
• Assembly and disassembly of heavy-duty shelving, minor repairs, as well as courier services and errands
