The role requires basic knowledge of building repair trades and janitorial procedures, ability to lift moderately heavy objects, and a professional relationship with residents. On-site housing may be available as a rent credit.

It is expected that the building(s) and grounds be “show ready” for guests and residents by 10:00AM each morning. The individual will perform the following duties for their assigned building(s).Essential Functions:Sweep, clean, and shovel sidewalks as requiredPick up debris on propertyMaintain Lobbies/Storage Areas/Boiler RoomsKeep directories and mailboxes cleanSpot clean entry carpet as requiredSand and salt walks and steps in the winter as neededMaintain shared laundry facilitiesCheck dryers for lint and wipe down all machinesReport leaks and repairs neededReplace burned out light bulbs as neededVacuum hallways as often as necessarySpot clean hall carpet or flooring as requiredRemove marks on the walls if possibleCheck emergency lights monthly to insure they workVacuum stairsInspect railings to insure that they are “tight”Keep dumpster area clean and swept, hose down if required; and shovel clean in winterCommunicate any suspicious behaviors or activities you see to the managerMaintain a professional relationship with other residentsHand out notices as requested by the site officeYou may be asked to show an apartment if necessaryPrep units for new residentsHelp Community Manager fill vacanciesEducation, Experience and Other SkillsAbility to set prioritiesBasic knowledge in all building repair trades and practicesBasic knowledge of janitorial proceduresMental and Physical Requirements:Ability to lift moderately heavy objects, climb ladders, perform duties requiring extensive maneuverability and normal strengthWork is performed in interior and exterior structure and common areasAdditional Requirements:Caretaking can be paid via a rent credit if the applicant lives or would like to live on-site. Any caretaking or work completed at properties the employee does not reside at, will be paid via a paycheck at an hourly rate.
