Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with vocational/technical training.
• CARES Certification preferred; current or equivalent peer qualification viewed favorably.
• One year of experience in a similar setting or equivalent education/training.

Responsibilities

• Interviews clients for intake information and documents history.
• Screens, evaluates, and trains potential clients for services.
• Performs telephone triage and provides crisis intervention.
• Organizes activities to help clients develop skills and positive self-image.
• Plans and conducts activity therapy groups.
• Intervenes in crisis situations.
• Links clients with community resources and housing.
• Transports clients to medical treatment or program appointments.
