Job summary

VONNE (Voluntary Organisations' Network North East) in County Durham is seeking an Employability Advisor to provide person-centred support to working age unpaid carers who are unemployed or economically inactive. You'll help carers build confidence, develop skills, progress toward employment or training, and work with employers and training providers to open opportunities across the North East.

Qualifications

• Provide one to one, strengths based employability support to unpaid carers.
• Assess needs, identify barriers and develop tailored action plans that support progression into work.
• Deliver practical interventions including CV development, job search support, interview preparation and confidence building.
• Help carers recognise their transferable skills and the resilience gained through caring.
• Liaise with employers, training providers and partners to identify opportunities and reduce barriers.
• Maintain accurate case notes, achieve project targets and contribute to group sessions and wider programme delivery.
• Safeguard vulnerable adults and children, escalating concerns appropriately.
