Job summary

Always Best Care Senior Services is seeking a dedicated Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to join our team. This role delivers high-quality personal care and support to seniors, promoting safety, comfort, and dignity in home or facility settings.

Training is available for enthusiastic candidates with compassionate hearts. Shifts range from 2 to 12 hours, Monday–Friday, with overtime possible, and a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with clients and families.
• Fluent in spoken English; able to read and write notes in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Engage clients in activities promoting mental stimulation and social interaction.
• Maintain a clean, safe home environment with light housekeeping and laundry.
• Provide transportation to appointments and social activities.
• Follow care plans and communicate with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Document daily activities and care plan progress; raise concerns as needed.

Shifts Available

Weekday shifts Monday through Friday can be anywhere from 2 hours to 12 hours long, and will generally occur between 8a and 8p. We are flexible and will work around your school or family schedule as much as is possible. Expected commitment is minimum 10 hours per week. Overtime is allowed.

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Caregiver/Personal Care Assistant to join our team. This vital role involves delivering high-quality personal care and support to seniors and individuals with disabilities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and dignity. The ideal candidate will possess a compassionate nature combined with relevant experience in skilled nursing, home care, or assisted living environments. However, we will train enthusiastic people with compassionate hearts, so don\'t let a lack of experience keep you from applying!

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support.
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote mental stimulation and social interaction.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
• Provide transportation to appointments and social gatherings.
• Follow established care plans and communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure personalized care delivery.
• Document daily activities and completion of care plan. Communicate concerns and client needs with office.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures willingly and completely.

Requirements

• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and documentation. Must be fluent in spoken English and be able to read and write notes in English.
• Able to pass a background check and a drug test.
• Have a valid driver\'s license, car insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, and be able to lift a weight of 35 lbs and carry it 25 feet several times per day.
• Be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work in the US.
