Job summary

Home Instead is searching for full and part-time caregivers in Owensboro, Kentucky, to support aging adults in their homes. Caregivers, or Care Pros, will assist with a variety of non-medical tasks including companionship, light housekeeping, and personal care. Training is provided to ensure Care Pros are well-prepared to meet clients’ needs.

Qualifications

• Prior caregiving experience is preferred but not required.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance.
• Must be available for 15-40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and conversation.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
• Remind clients about medication and appointments.
• Assist clients with grooming, bathing, and toileting.
• Care for clients with Alzheimer’s and other needs.

SEARCHING FOR FULL AND PART TIME CAREGIVERS IN YOUR AREA**

DAVIESS COUNTY AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES! Home Instead is hiring part time caregivers to perform the essential work of keeping aging adults safe and comfortable at home. Home Instead provides a variety of non-medical services that allow aging adults to remain in their home and meet the challenges of aging with dignity, care and compassion.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Assistance with grooming and bathing
• Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
• Alzheimer’s Care

Prior caregiving experience is preferred but not required.

Prior to working for our clients, all Home Instead caregivers—we call ours Care Professionals, or Care Pros for short—will go through specific training designed by Home Instead and will receive an in‑house certification in Personal Care tasks. These tasks include demonstrating ability to assist our clients with grooming, bathing, continence care, and mobility. After training, our Care Pros will feel confident going into the client’s home and helping to support their emotional, physical and mental wellbeing.

• Ability to treat and care for aging adults and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and compassionate manner
• Demonstrated reliability and trustworthiness
• Possess a valid driver’s license and valid auto insurance
• Must be available to work a schedule of 15-40 hours per week
