Job summary

Home Instead in Virginia Beach is seeking compassionate Morning Caregivers for 9:00 AM–5:00 PM or 8:00 AM–4:00 PM shifts to help start clients’ days with warmth and respect.

Care Pros provide companionship, light housekeeping, meal preparation, reminders for medications and appointments, and assistance with grooming, bathing, toileting and mobility. Alzheimer’s care is also included as needed.

Qualifications

• Past caregiving experience is preferred but not required.
• Care Pros receive Home Instead training and in-house Personal Care task certification.

Our community needs your help! Home Instead is expanding our dedicated team and actively seeking compassionate Morning Caregivers, 9AM to 5PM or 8AM to 4PM, to bring on board. If you have a passion for helping others start their day off right and want to make a meaningful difference in our community, we would love to connect with you.

Duties Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Companionship and conversation
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation
• Medication and appointment reminders
• Assistance with grooming and bathing
• Assistance with toileting and incontinence issues
• Alzheimer’s Care

Prior caregiving experience is preferred but not required. Prior to working for our clients, all Home Instead caregivers—termed Care Professionals, or Care Pros—undergo specific training designed by Home Instead and receive an in-house certification in Personal Care tasks. These tasks include demonstrating ability to assist our clients with grooming, bathing, continence care, and mobility. After training, Care Pros feel confident going into the client’s home and helping to support their emotional, physical and mental wellbeing.

Requirements To Be a Home Instead Care Pro Are

• Ability to treat and care for aging adults and their property with dignity and respect
• Ability to communicate with clients in a friendly and compassionate manner
• Demonstrated reliability and trustworthiness
• Possess a valid driver’s license, own vehicle, and possess valid auto insurance
• Must be available to work a schedule of 32-40 hours per week
• Successful Background screening
• Negative Tuberculosis Test
