Maxim Healthcare is seeking a Compassionate Companion Caregiver to support patients in their homes in Monterey, CA. The role offers hourly pay and weekly paychecks, with comprehensive health benefits and a 401(k) option.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• One (1) year of experience as a Companion Care Homemaker/Companion Care Provider preferred.
• Ability to carry out tasks in a professional manner and adhere to policies regarding professionalism and boundaries preferred.
• Must demonstrate a compassionate nature and possess strong interpersonal skills preferred.
• Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals via strong communication skills preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language is required.
• Computer proficiency required.

Responsabilités

• Provides “hands off” care such as socialization and encouraging mild exercise.
• Encourages medication reminders to support compliance.
• Supervises safety during bathing, toileting, and dressing.
• Assists with grocery shopping and light housekeeping.

Responsibilities:

• Provides “hands off” care such as:
  • Providing and encouraging socialization
  • Encouraging a mild exercise program
  • Encouraging medication compliance through timely reminders to take medications
  • Supervising the safety of the patient/client when bathing, toileting, and dressing
  • Assisting with grocery-shopping; and performing light housekeeping chores
  • Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
• Arrives at the client’s home on time and leaves when shift schedule is complete
• Performs all duties in an accurate and timely manner
• Safeguards the client/patient by observing appropriate infection control procedures including but not limited to universal precautions
