Job summary

Homestead Health Care in Auburn, IN is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide daily living assistance and companionship to our residents.

You will help with activities of daily living, pass medications as prescribed, and report changes to the supervisor. Must be able to lift 50 pounds, pass a background check, have a HS diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and be available every other weekend. Full-time benefits include paid time off, training, and health coverage.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Provide companionship and emotional support

• Maintain cleanliness of the environment and assist with light housekeeping
• Report changes in resident condition to the supervisor
• Communicate professionally with families and staff
• Follow safety and infection control procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Homestead Health Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Caregivers to provide care to our residents in Auburn, IN.

The Caregiver will assist residents with activities of daily living and provide companionship and emotional support. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, possess excellent communication skills, and foster genuine relationships with seniors.

Experience passing medications is a requirement, you must be comfortable working alone.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting clients with activities of daily living, specifically but not limited to bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, etc.
• Passing medications following physicians orders.
• Providing companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the environment which may include light housekeeping.
• Reporting any changes in the resident's condition to the supervisor.
• Communicate in a professional manner with families, support services, and coworkers of Homestead.
• Comply with all safety and health standards, including infection control procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
