Job summary

Senior Helpers of Riverside is urgently hiring caregivers to support Medicare patients in the Riverside area. In this in-person, full-time or part-time role, you will provide essential daily living assistance, companionship, and medication reminders in homes across Upland, Rancho Cucamonga, and Chino.

We offer 401k options, referral and anniversary bonuses, recognition bonuses, and flexible hours. Must have or be willing to obtain a California Home Care Aide registration; prior caregiving

Qualifications

• CA registration as Home Care Aide (HCA) preferred/beneficial
• Previous caregiving experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility

Responsibilities

• Promote resident rights and maintain a safe, comfortable environment
• Assist clients with activities of daily living
• Provide companionship and emotional support
• Administer medication reminders
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding if needed
• Perform light housekeeping tasks

DUTIES:

Promote resident rights and maintain a safe and comfortable environmentAssist clients with activities of daily livingProvide companionship and emotional supportAdminister medication remindersPrepare meals and assist with feeding if necessaryPerform light housekeeping tasksHelp clients with mobility and transportation needs

Qualifications:

Previous experience in care giving or a related field preferredKnowledge of resident rights and principles of patient careAbility to lift and transfer individuals using proper body mechanicsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenCompassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanorAbility to work independently as well as part of a teamFamiliarity with medication administration systems is a plus

Requirements

CA registration as home care aide- we can help you with this process if you do not have an active registration number.Cooking skills for meal preparationPrevious experience in home care is beneficial- proficiency in direst support services
