Job summary

Always Family HomeCare is seeking a compassionate Caregiver to assist an elderly gentleman in Vienna. The role focuses on companionship in the afternoons, with 6-hour shifts available daily. The client resides in a facility and staff support is available.

Flexible scheduling, smartphone-enabled scheduling, payments, and notes are offered. Responsibilities include assisting with hygiene, meal prep, light housekeeping, and reporting any changes to the RN Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Caregiver.
• CNA license, CNA certificate, PCA, or HHA preferred.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Current Driver's License.
• Current TB test.
• Reliable transportation, able to travel throughout Fairfax County and surrounding areas.
• Immunizations to include COVID-19 and flu strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Follows the instructions of the RN Supervisor in providing personal assistance services.
• Provide assistance with hygiene such as bathing, oral care, and dressing.
• Assist with food preparation; serve food, performs errands, light housekeeping, laundry, wash dishes.
• Observe and report any safety hazards found in the client’s home or any significant observations regarding the client.
• Attend staff meetings, attend/complete 12 hours of annual in-services, and participates in orientation of new employees.
• Report client complaints to the RN Supervisor.
• Report abnormal findings in client’s conditions as observed and per care plan to RN.

Does it bring you joy to assist the elderly with daily activities? We are seeking a compassionate Caregiver to assist an elderly gentleman in Vienna. He is residing in a facility, and also has assistance from the facility staff. He has some mobility difficulty, but can use standby assistance. Primarily he needs a companion caregiver to spend the afternoons with him. Expect 6 hour shifts with openings every day of the week.

Benefits:

• Hourly rate of $17 to $20 per hour based on licensing and experience.
