Job summary

Community First Solutions is seeking caring caregivers to support residents at Sycamore Glen. The role emphasizes compassion, dignity, and respect while assisting with daily routines.

We offer a $500 sign-on bonus for full-time positions and a schedule of 36 hours per week with weekend/holiday rotation. Starting pay is $16.00/hour, with full-time benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Candidate must be 16 years of age or older (18+ for full-time)

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed (bathing, grooming, hygiene, transportation to meals/activities, dressing, hair care, laundry)
• Provide resident comfort, respond to call lights, report observations to nursing staff
• Maintain residents\' self-respect, safety, and confidentiality
• Assist in bed mobility and transfers using safe techniques
• Support Engagement staff with planned activities
• Document actions in forms, logs, and records
• Follow universal precautions and safety policies
• Maintain safe environment and adhere to reporting requirements
• Participate in ongoing education and training

Status

• Full-Time: 36 hours a week with every other weekend and holiday rotation
• PRN: Minimum 3 full 12 hour shifts per month, with one of those days being a Saturday OR a Sunday

Responsibilities

• Assists residents in their activities of daily living tasks as needed and directed. This could include bathing, grooming, personal and dental hygiene, transportation to meals and activities, bowel and bladder functions (e.g., take to bathroom, portable commode, change incontinency products, etc.), shaving dressing, hair care, and laundry talks. All tasks and duties as described or documented in the resident’s service plan.
• Provides resident comfort by utilizing resources and materials; Transporting residents; answering residents call lights in a timely manner; reporting observations of the resident to the nursing supervisor when appropriate.
• Responds to resident’s needs promptly while maintaining each resident’s self-respect, personal dignity, personal safety and confidentiality.
• Assists resident in and out of bed and wheelchair as needed, following safe lifting/transferring techniques.
• Assists Engagement staff in carrying out planned activities.
• Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records electronically.
• Uses universal precautions and follows established policies concerning exposure to blood/body fluids.
• Serves and protects the community by adhering to professional standards, community policies and procedures, state and local requirements.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in education opportunities; reading professional publications; participating in professional organizations and maintaining certification/licensure.
• Maintains a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests, following established safety standards.
• Adheres to all mandated reporting requirements and communicates concerns to person in charge.
• All other duties as assigned and/or appropriate to the position.
