Job summary

Happy to Help Caregiving is seeking reliable, compassionate caregivers to join our in-home, non-medical caregiving team. You will help seniors, individuals with disabilities, and veterans stay safe, comfortable, and independent at home.

This hands-on, relationship-driven role emphasizes consistency, trust, and meaningful connections with clients and families, while maintaining dignity and respect in every shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Kind, patient, trustworthy, and respectful demeanor
• Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions accurately
• Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks and mobility support
• Strong communication with clients, families, and office staff
• Reliable attendance and punctuality essential
• Prior caregiving experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

• Provide companionship and engagement through conversation and activities
• Assist with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
• Prepare meals and snacks according to client preferences
• Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe home
• Provide medication reminders as per care plan (no medication administration)
• Assist with mobility and safe transfers using walkers or wheelchair
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments and errands
• Offer respite care to give family caregivers a break
• Document shift activity and communicate client changes promptly
• Respect client independence and daily routines with professionalism
